Monash University continues to be one of the most competitive pathways into Medicine in Australia. For the 2026 Direct Entry intake, the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (MD) program remains highly sought after.
From a total domestic applicant pool of 3,689 students who completed the UCAT ANZ 2025—an increase of 5.5% compared to the previous year—only 636 interview places are available. These interviews will compete for around 234 domestic places in the 2026 Direct Entry program. 🩺
The Monash MD is one of the few undergraduate-entry medicine programs in Australia, offering a seamless five-year pathway from high school to the Doctor of Medicine degree. Successful candidates are selected based on a combination of UCAT ANZ performance, academic achievement (ATAR), and Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) results.
